3/30/09

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron off. He was very sleepy. He apparently didn't go to sleep last night until almost midnight. I let him rest until it was time to go to school. I stayed home today until it was time to pick Cameron up from school as I think I have had a relapse of the bug going around the house.
3:10 I picked Cameron up from school and brought him home. Jason came home early and stayed with Cameron while I went to bed and then picked Mason up from daycare and picked up something for supper so I would not have to cook.He fed the boys and then took them home around 6:15.

3/27/09

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron off and I took him to school around 8:15. He seems to be feeling alot better and wanted to go to school because they were going on a field trip. I picked him up after school. Jamie usually picks him up on Friday but she had something to do again. Jason picked Mason up from daycare and we had supper. Jason took Cameron to the movies (Monsters vs Aleins 3D) while Mason stayed here with me and pawpaw. We played, watched his favorite dvd (Cars) and he went to bed at 8:00 pm. Jason and Cameron came home around 9:30 and went straight to bed.

3/26/09

6:30 am Jamie dropped off Cameron and I took him to school at 8:00 as usual. He still doesn't look like he feels very good but he was not running a fever. Rusty was up all night vomiting but went in to work anyway. I got dressed and went out for a while looking for a job and then went to help Rusty at one of his accounts so he could come home.
12:30 pm Jason called stating the school had called and Cameron is again running a fever and I told him I would pick him up and take him home with me.
After we came home I gave Cameron a dose of the Children's Motrin and put him to bed.
5:30 pm Jason picked Mason up from daycare while I fixed supper, we ate and then he took them home.

3/25/09

6:30 am Jason received a called from Jamie saying Cameron had been up all night vomiting and she has decided to stay at home with them today. I think the only reason she wants to stay at home with them is because she didn't get much sleep last night and doesn't want to go in to work. Mason is feeling a lot better and apparently eating everything in sight.
It is probably good that Jamie kept the boys today since I can't seem to stay out of the bathroom.
5:30 pm I made chicken and dumplings for supper and Jason took some over to the kids for supper. I didn't feel like eating but someone has to feed everyone.

3/24/09

Around 11:00 pm last night, Mason started running a high fever again but it was not time to give him the Children's Motrin so Jason went to Walmart's and purchased some Tylenol and a thermometer. I took Mason's and Cameron's temps and they were both high. Jason had started vomiting himself around 9:30 so if was not a good night around here.
This morning the boys slept until around 6:30 and were both still running fevers so they stayed at home with me and Jason. I fixed french toast for breakfast and persuaded the boys the eat a little. I went to the library and checked out several children movies for the boys to watch.We spent the rest of the day inside watching movies, TV and Cameron played on the computer. Mason continued to run low grade fevers all day and did not want to eat very much. Jamie finally called around 4:30 to check on the boys.
We had supper around 6:00 pm and Jamie came to picked the boys up around 6:45. I was surprised to see her since she usually wants Jason to bring them to her.
If either of the boys is still sick in the morning I will ask Jamie to drop them off here and I will take them to the doctor. Jamie does not like to take time off from work to take them to the doctor and expects others to do it for her. I have come to expect this and that is why I will offer to take them. Jason has already lost a day of work this week and can not afford another day.

3/23/09

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron and Mason off this morning. I will keep Mason with me today since he was sick yesterday. Jamie wanted Jason to stay at home with him but since I'm not working I told him I would keep him. Jamie doesn't think she has to stay at home with him but expects Jason to take off work. Since she is the one that wants the boys with her, I feel it is her responsibility to stay with them when they are sick. Jason only wants what is best for the boys and knows that if he forces her to stay at home, she will take it out on them.
8:00 am Mason and I took Cameron to school, then came home and Mason watched the DVD movies Cars and Shark Tails. He loves thoses movies and will watch them all the time.

11:00 am Mason started running a high fever and Jamie did not leave him any medicine so I called Jason and he immediately came over with some. After Mason took the medicine he went to sleep and slept until around 3:00 pm. Jason came home early to stay with Mason while I went to pick up Cameron from school.

We had supper around 5:00 but Mason did not want to eat. Cameron is starting to feel bad also. He is complaining of a sore throat, has some diarrhea and is running a slight fever. I gave both boys a dose of Children's Motrin. The boys want to stay here tonight so Jason called Jamie. She said it was okay. She did not call all day to check on Mason and now she is allowing them to spend the night. I just don't understand her sometimes.

6:00 pm Jason gave the boys their baths and they were allowed to watch TV until 7:30.

3/22/09

Today we spent most of the day at home since we did so much yesterday at the airshow. We ate a late breakfast since we all slept in this morning. We then played outside with the boys. They rode their bikes and Jason played baseball with them. He threw some tennis balls for Cameron to hit with his bat. Once Cameron started wearing his batting helmet, he started hitting better.

Pawpaw took the boys back to Walmart's parking lot to watch some of the airshow(the show was for Saturday and Sunday).

Around 4:00 we ate lupper (late lunch and early supper). Mason did not want to eat. He wanted to sleep but we would not let him since it was so late in the afternoon. He sat with me on the couch and then started to vomit. He vomited at least 4 times in a matter of minutes. Jason and Pawpaw took him to the bathroom to clean him up and before they could remove his clothes he had a severe bout of diarrhea and he vomited again. Jason gave him a bath.

6:00 pm Jason took the boys home to Jaime. He stayed for some time. While he was there, Mason had several bouts of vomiting and diarrhea.

Once he came home, Jason called Jamie often to check on Mason and was told he still did not feel well. I think he got too much sun at the airshow.

9:30 am Today we took the boys to Hardee's for breakfast and then to the airshow (Thunder in the Valley). They had alot of fun looking at the old planes, cars and jumping on the bounce and play toys. Later we came home and cooked some hot dogs on the grill and then we went back to watch the planes take off.

3:00 pm Jason took the boys over to spend some time with Jamie but came back with them a little while later stating he did not want to leave them there as she had been drinking and was yelling and cussing at him and he did not want her to take it out on them as she normally does when she is mad at him.

Apparently she had left a receipt out for him to see that she had spent 90.00+ on a outfit to go out with her friends last night and he found several empty bottles of wine laying around the apartment.

She complains she does not have the money to spend on the boys but she can spend it on clothes, booze, cigarettes and going out with her friends on the weekend.

6:00 pm Jason went to Walmart and picked up some summer clothes for the boys since Jamie can not find any at the apartment.

7:00 pm We all had supper here at the house and then Jason and the boys watched TV for a while before the boys went to bed. They were tired from the busy day.

6:30 am Jamie dropped off Cameron and I took him to school around 8:15. Since it is Friday, Jamie normaly picks him up from school and keeps him until she picks up Mason at daycare and then she brings them both here to stay the night with us. Since she moved to the apartment, however, she has had one excuse after another not to pick him up from school so I did again today.She did however pick up Mason and immediatey brought him over here. She only stayed long enough to bring him in and then she left without a word. When Jason got home he played with Cameron in the front yard until it was time to get ready to go out.
6:30 pm Jason took all of us to Shogun's for supper and then took the boys to Monkey Joe's http://www.monkeyjoes.com/ to play.

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron off and I took him to school around 8:15. I picked him up from school at 3:10 and we came home. Cameron had a problem at school (misconduct in the lunchroom) so I made him stay in his room until Jason came home. Jason left to pick Mason up from daycare around 5:oopm and when they came home we all ate supper while they finished watching their DVD movie (Shark Tails). Jason took them home around 6:30 and stayed to help give them their baths.

6:30 am Jamie dropped off Cameron as usual. He seemed to be very sleepy which is not usual for him. I don't think he is getting in bed at his normal time. Jason was always the one that set the rules and Jamie would always defer to him. ie( She would threaten them that their dad would spank them when he got home). I think she is finding it difficult to manage them without their dad.
Jason picked Mason up from daycare early again today. Jason and the boys played in the front yard until it was time to eat. They had supper while watching a DVD movie (Shark Tails) before Jason took them home around 6:15.

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron off and we left for school at 8:00. I picked him up from school at 1:15 as today was a early release day.I spent most of the day washing some of Jason's clothes that Jamie decided to throw in the yard and put ketcup on in a fit of rage not long ago.Jason picked up Mason at daycare around 5:00 and we had supper and he then took then home at 6:15. Jamie had called earlier wanting Jason to keep them until around 9:00 pm so she could go out with some of her friends. Jason said he would not keep them for her that late as it was a school night and Cameron needed to be in bed at his regular time. She was not very happy with him but she is the one that wanted to be on her own with the kids. That means no going out during the week and its about being a responsible parent.

6:30 am Jamie dropped Cameron off here before taking Mason on to daycare. I will take Cameron to school around 8:00 and will pick him up after school. I am not working right now and am looking for a job while Cameron is in school. I have been doing this for a while , trying to help Jason and Jamie. The only one that seems to appreciate it is Jason. Jamie very rarely comes in and when she does, she has nothing to say to me. I don't know why she seems to dislike me since I have always treated her like the daughter I never had.
4:30 pm Jason came home early and picked Mason up from daycare. They had supper here as usual, played with Pawpaw and Jason and then Jason took them home around 6:30 pm in time for their baths and then to bed.

10:00 am Jamie called and wanted Jason to bring the boys home. They cried and didnt want to go. I know that they miss their dad and do not feel at home at the apartment. I hope they get used to it.
Rusty and I did not go over to the house today. I just felt like I needed to take a break. Jason just mopes around the house. He really misses the boys.
5:00 pm Cameron called Jason and wanted him to take them to McDonalds to get something to eat. I think he just misses his dad alot.
7:00 pm Jason tried calling the boys to say goodnight but Jamie would not answer the phone. Jason had promised Cameron that he would call him every night to say goodnight.

The boys had breakfast here and then Jason took them to the mall and for lunch before taking them home to Jamie around 1:00 pm.
While Jason took the boys to the mall, Rusty and I went back over to the old house to continue cleaning and sorting through all the mess Jamie has left. Jason came over after dropping the boys off at the apartment and he and Rusty took apart the fridge in order to move it and the stove to the porch where we will have a yard sale in the near future.
5:00 pm Jason took the boys some of their toys from the old house and then went to get them something for supper.
7:00 pm Jamie called and wanted Jason to come and get the boys. They will stay the night.

6:30 am Jamie dropped off Cameron who did not have school and he stayed with me all day. Cameron and I spent the day at their old house. He played with his friend Justin while I continued to cleaned the house. Jamie appears not to be interested in leaving the house in decent condition.
5:00 pm Jason picked up Mason at Jamie's apartment for the boys to stay the night. We went out to eat at Ryan's and then took the boys to Monkey Joe's to play.

This will be my way of jotting down what happens every day with my grandchildren and son after his breakup with his wife of 11 years. Jamie moved to an apartment several weeks ago and the boys are having a difficult time adjusting to not having their dad with them at night.
