This is my daily diary of my grandsons life after their parents breakup. I know everyone says you can't love anyone more than your own children but this isn't true. It's just a different kind of love.

Pawpaw took JJ to work at the usual time of 7:00 while I stayed at home and let the boys sleep until 7:30. I got them up, dressed, fed and then Pawpaw took them to school and daycare. Pawpaw had a doctors appointment today so he and I spent the morning there and then we went shopping for shoes for him and winter school uniforms (long pants and long sleeve shirts) for Cameron. Pawpaw and I picked Cameron up from school at 3:10 and then took him home to start homework. Jason called at 5:30 to say that both he and Jamie were working late and asked if Pawpaw would pick Mason up from daycare. Pawpaw and Mason came home at 6:10 and he and the boys played outside until Jason came home. Jason was going to take them over to Jamie's but she came by at 6:30 to pick them up instead. After they left, Jason left to go get the boys something to eat and he took it over to them. I thought that Jamie was feeding them on the nights she has them but it seems that maybe Jason is taking them something.

I woke the boys up at the usual time, dressed them, fed them breakfast and then we took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and Cameron to school. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:10 and then we came home to start on homework and then I started supper. Jamie brought Mason home at 6:00 and the boys played together until time for supper. After we ate, Jason gave the boys a bath and let them watch TV until time for bed.

9/21/09

I woke up the boys, dressed them , fed them and then took them all (JJ, Mason and Cameron) where they all needed to be. While on the way to school I asked Cameron what they had done all weekend while they were with his mother. He said that they stayed inside all weekend and didn't even get to go to the pool. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:10 and we came home to start his homework. The teacher had finally sent home his homework on paper with a note saying that she was having problems sending it to Jason's email address. After helping him with his homework, I started supper and then Pawpaw came home and took Cameron to the park for a while. Jamie brought Mason home around 6:00 and then we ate. Jason gave the boys a bath and then let the watch TV until bedtime.

The boys were with Jamie this weekend and it was very quite around here. Mother came over at 1:00 to watch the football games and have lupper. Jason picked up the boys from Jamie's at 3:00 and took them to the movies (Cloudy with a chance of meatballs). They came home at 6:30 and I fed them supper before Jason gave them their bath. They were allowed to play for awhile before going to bed.

9/18/09

I woke up the boys at the usual time (6:15), fed them, dressed them and took them to daycare and school. I went back to mother's to spend some time with them and then I met Rusty for lunch. Jamie picked Cameron up from school and then picked Mason up from daycare. They will spend the weekend with her. Cameron is excited about going to the pool at the apartment complex. I wonder what they will do once the pool is closed for the winter.

9/17/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off at 6:15 and took Mason on to daycare. Cameron changed into his school uniform, had breakfast and we took JJ to work and then came home until time to go to school. I had planed on going over to my mothers house as my sister Kathy is up from Florida and her daughter Bree is up from Mississippi for a girls only get together but I'm having plumbing problems and needed to wait on the plumber to arrive so I had to wait until later in the day. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:10, went by the store and then went home. Cameron and I played in the yard until Jason came home. Pawpaw came home at 4:30 and I left to go over to mom's. Pawpaw went to KFC for supper for everyone and afterwards Jason gave the boys a bath before letting them watch TV before going to bed.

9/15/09

I woke up the boys, dressed them, fed them and then took them and JJ to work, daycare and then to school. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:10 and we came home. Later, Jason came home. He had spoken to the assistant principal (Mrs. Adams) earlier regarding Cameron's teacher and the problem we are having in getting the homework assignments. According to Cameron's teacher, Mrs. Johnson, she has been emailing the assignments to the email address that was on Cameron's school registration form which is Jamie's. If Jamie has been getting the assignments, she has not been forwarding them to us. Mrs. Adams said she had given Mrs. Johnson Jason cell phone number and she would call today. Later, Jason did have a long talk with Mrs. Johnson and she will start sending all correspondence to Jason's email address. She was not aware that Jason and Jamie were separated and that the boys were staying with Jason.
Jamie dropped Mason off at 5:45 and only stayed for a few minutes. We had supper at 6:30, Jason gave the boys their baths and they watched TV until bedtime.

9/14/09

I woke the boys up at 6:15, fed them, dressed them and we took JJ to work and Mason to daycare. I later took Cameron to school at 8:15 and came home to get ready to go out for a while. Jason called later in the morning to let me know that he would pick Cameron up from school today. If Cameron does not have his homework assignment today, Jason will stay to talk with the principal again since he has not heard anything since last Thursday.
Jason and Cameron came home at 3:30 and started on Cameron's homework. She had only sent one math worksheet and had not sent any spelling words. Jason will call the school tomorrow to make an appointment with the principal. She could not see him today. Jason started supper (spaghetti) while I set the table. Jamie brought Mason home at 5:45 and only stayed for a few minutes. After supper, Jason gave the boys a bath and then allowed them to watch a little TV before going to bed. Jamie did not call to say goodnight to the boys.

9/13/09

Pawpaw took JJ to work and I stayed home with Mason who got up early. I let Jason and Cameron sleep. Once Pawpaw came home I started breakfast. JJ only worked until 9:00 so I had breakfast ready when Pawpaw picked him up. After breakfast, Cameron again played with Ashley all day. I cleaned the house while Pawpaw worked in the yard (mowing, trimming and blowing). My mother always comes over on Sundays (when she is in town). She goes out of town a lot. Today Kim (my sister) and Terry came over to watch football with us. We had ribs and all the trimmings for lunch. Mason had fun playing with everyone here. Later, night I made french toast for the boys for supper and then Jason gave them a bath before putting them to bed. Jamie called earlier wanting Jason to bring the boys over so she could see them. Jason would have taken them but neither of the boys wanted to go. She could have come here if she had really wanted to see them. It has not stopped her in the past.

9/12/09

JJ did not have to work today so we all slept in except Pawpaw who had to work. Once everyone was up, I made breakfast. Pawpaw came home for breakfast before going back to work. After breakfast Jason gave the boys a bath. Cameron's friend Ashley(whose grandmother lives across the street) came over and they played all day either outside here or at her grandmother's house. Since Mason is still to young to be outside without an adult, he played with Jason either inside or they went outside and played with Cameron and Ashley. We had lunch here and then later I made supper before Jason gave the boys another bath before putting them to bed.

9/11/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off at 6:30. Mason wanted Jamie to take him to the daycare so she did. Since she is off today I don't know why she didn't let them sleep late today and then she could have taken them to daycare and school. I would have been more than happy to take Cameron's school bag and clothes to her. Rusty came home early and he and I went to lunch. Jarred called while we were eating to say that he was off so we picked him up, took him on his usual errands (bank and store) before taking him to his friends house. Later, Pawpaw and I picked Cameron up from school and came home. Jason picked Mason up from daycare and brought him home. They played in the yard until supper was ready. Jamie did come by briefly to see the boys. She had been at the pool most of the day. After supper, Jason and Pawpaw took the boys to Monkey joe's to play.It was late when they came home and they were tired. Since it is Friday and there is know school tomorrow, Jason decided to let the boys go to bed without a bath. They will take one in the morning.

9/10/09

Jamie was supposed to drop Cameron off at the usual time of 6:15 but when she had not by 6:30, I called Jason to see if he knew why. He called Jamie and called me back stating that Jamie did not have to go in to work until later and had decided to sleep a little later. It would have been nice if she had let me know so I would not have been worried. She dropped Cameron off at 7:00 and he and I took JJ to work and then came home until time for school. I had to take the car in to have the air worked on and decided to stay home and work online until it was ready. Once I picked up the car I went to the store and then picked Cameron up from school at 3:15. Jason has tried contacting Cameron's teacher for over a week and a half concerning a problem with his homework assignments and has not received a call back so he went to the school and talked with the principal. Apparently the teacher has been sending the assignment by email. But we don't know who is getting the email. It is not me or Jason. Since his teacher was not there today, they will talk to her tomorrow and get back with him. I hope Jamie has not been receiving them and not giving them to us.
When Jason talked to Jamie on Tuesday about the kids staying with us, he did tell her she could have the boys more often. She has decided that she wants them again tonight, so Jason picked Mason up from daycare at 3:30 and they came home and he and the boys played until supper was ready. Once we ate, Jason took the boys to Jamie.

9/9/09

Pawpaw took JJ to work today and I stayed with the boys and let them sleep until 7:15. After getting them up, I fed them and dressed them and then Pawpaw took Mason to daycare and Cameron to school. I went by the doctors office to get Cameron's new prescription and dropped it off at the Pharmacy. Jason picked it up on his way home.Later Pawpaw picked Cameron up from school while I put up the groceries we had bought. Once they came home, Pawpaw and Cameron played in the yard until Jason came home from work. Since Jamie keeps the boys on Wednesday, she picked Mason up and Jason took Cameron over to the apartment. He cried amd didn't want to go.I sent over supper for the boys. Jason said that Jamie had already fed Mason a bowl of cereal before he and Cameron got there. I can only hope that she will give the boys a bath.
Note: Jason received a letter today from his lawyer stating that the new court date is Tuesday 9/29/09 at 10:00 AM.

9/8/09

Jason called around lunch time to let me know that he had spoken to Mr. Hirsch. I was right in that things are to stay the same as they were when we went to court last week. Jamie and her lawyer both agreed that the boys would stay with us during the week and Jamie would get them every other weekend and every Wednesday night. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:15. When Jason came home from work, he picked Mason up from the daycare and then took the boys to Walmart. Once everybody was home, we had supper. While we were eating Jamie came over and Jason took her outside to talk about keeping the old arrangements until the next court date. Jamie was not very happy about it. She says she doesn't get enough time with the boys but even under her plan she would only see them a few minutes before bedtime and a few minutes in the morning before dropping them off here. Jamie left to go get Cameron's medicine and Jason put the boys in the bathtub. Afterwards they watched TV before going to bed.
Note: Jason called the school again today to request a meeting with his teacher. I don't know why she is not returning his calls but if he doesn't hear from her soon, he will have to take it to the principal. Cameron did not have homework assignments given again this week. I spoke with the grandmother of one of Cameron's classmates and she said that she had been told that the assignments were being sent by email. We were not notified of any changes. How can they send out emails when they have not requested the email address or if you don't have a email address?

9/8/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off at 6:15. I thought she would drop Mason off too, but she took him on to daycare. I will have Jason talk to her about dropping him off here and me taking him to daycare after taking JJ to work. At least then I will know that he has been fed. When Cameron came in he was hungry and ate two waffles. We took JJ to work and then came home until time to take Cameron to school. On the way to school, I asked Cameron about his weekend. He said that the only thing they did was go swimming on Saturday and then they stayed in the rest of the weekend other than going with Jason to eat and get haircuts on Sunday and going to Jamie's parents house yesterday afternoon. Jamie thinks Cameron is to young to play outside by himself and this is true but she could have taken them to the park or to the playground at the apartment complex or she could brought them over here to play for a little while. Children need to play outside when the weather is nice and not be made to stay inside all day.

9/7/09

It was a very quite labor day. Jason, JJ and Rusty all had to work today and the boys were with Jamie. Jason did go over to see them once he came home from work. Jamie took the boys to her parents house in the afternoon. She will drop them off in the morning.

9/6/09

Jason called to check on the boys and had a long talk with Jamie. Jamie has decided that she needs to spend more time with the boys. I think it is strange that now that she and her lawyer know that Jason is going for custody they want her to appear more mom like. Their plan is that Jamie keeps them from this past Friday until next Friday and then Jason will keep them from that Friday until the next. I will still pick Cameron up from school, Jason or I will pick Mason up from daycare, they will eat here, bath here and we will take them to her to spend the night. She will then bring them here the next morning for me to take them to daycare and school. I don't see how this makes her seem like a better mom since all she will do is watch them while they sleep and the boys will get one hour less sleep since she will get them up at 5:15 instead of the 6:15 here. Jason will call his lawyer on Tuesday to see what he thinks of this plan since it was agreed on Thursday that things would stay the same until the next court date. The same being that the boys stay here and Jamie has them every other weekend and every Wednesday.
Later in the day, Jason picked the boys up and took them to get haircuts and then took them out to eat supper as they were hungry. He then took them back to Jamie's. They will stay with her until Tuesday when she drops them off before going to work.

9/5/09

The boys are spending the weekend with Jamie and it was very quite around here today. Jason did call several times today to check on the boys and he did go over once to see them. Both boys have head colds and Jason ask Jamie to keep them out of the pool but she let them go anyway. She said that neither was running a fever.

9/4/09

I woke the boys, fed them, dressed them and we took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and then Cameron went with me for my blood work appoitment at 8:00 before I dropped him at school at 8:30. Since it is Jamie's weekend, she picked Cameron up from school and kept him for the afternoon before picking Mason up at the daycare. She did come by the house at 5:30 to pick up the boys medicine and Cameron's DS. When Jason came home, he went by Walmart's to pick up a few items(bread, milk, eggs, cereal, cheese) to take over to Jamie's and to see the boys.

9/3/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off around 6:15 and then she took Mason on to daycare. Jason took the morning off to go to court regarding custody of the boys. I took JJ to work and then came home to get ready to go to court with Jason. Jason and Cameron stopped by McDonald's to get something to eat before Jason took him to school. Cameron said that he had not eaten and was hungry. Jason and I met with his lawyer at 8:45 and then went to the court house. After spending most of the morning waiting for Jason's case to be called, we were told it would be 3:00PM before the case would be called. Once I told them that I had to pick Cameron up from school at 3:10, the lawyers got together and decided to postpone the case. Mr. Hirsch said this was good and that the longer we had the boys with us the better it would be in court. After leaving the courthouse, Jason went to work and I went to the store for groceries.
I picked Cameron at 3:10 and we came home. Jason came home around 4:30 and he and Cameron played football in the front yard until Jamie called at 5:30 wanting Jason to come to the daycare to look at some pictures that were taken of Mason. After looking at the pictures, Jason came home. He asked if Mason wanted to go with his mother or if he wanted to come home with him. Mason wanted to come home with Jason. Jamie did not bother to come by to see Cameron and as far as I know she did not call to check on them before bedtime. Jason did go over to Jamie's apartment later to get the boys cold medicine as she did not bring them back.
We had supper at 6:30, Jason gave the boys a bath and allowed them to watch TV for a while before bed.
Note: Jason noticed that Mason's hair was very oily when he picked him up from the daycare. He mentioned it to Jamie and she said that the boys were tired last night and she had not bothered to give them a bath. I guess we'll need to start picking Mason up from daycare on Wednesday, feeding them and bathing them again before Jason takes them to Jamie's.
