This is my daily diary of my grandsons life after their parents breakup. I know everyone says you can't love anyone more than your own children but this isn't true. It's just a different kind of love.

8/31/09

I got the boys up, fed them breakfast, dressed them and we took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and then Cameron to school at 8:15. Once I got home, I straightened the house, got dressed and went to the courthouse for new tags. Afterwards I went to several business to drop off resumes and fill out applications before picking Cameron up from school. Cameron started his homework while I fixed him a snack and later made supper. When Pawpaw came home from work, we left Cameron with Jason and went to Mewmaw's to take in her mail and water the plants. While we were gone, Jamie dropped off Mason. She said he felt like he was running a fever and so Jason gave him some Motrin. Jason asked her to call the doctors office to see if we could put him back on the antibiotics from his recent throat infection. She will call them tomorrow. We ate supper, Jason gave the boys a bath and allowed them to watch a little TV before going to bed.

Today was Pawpaw's birthday so I let him sleep late and I took JJ to work. Once I got home, I started breakfast and then got everyone up. We ate breakfast, Jason got the boys dressed, they played outside for a while before Jason took them over to a friends house. They came home around 4:30 in time for lupper. After we ate, Jason gave the boys their baths and they watched TV until time for bed.

I took JJ to work while Jason and the boys slept in. Once I got home I started breakfast. Jason and the boys got up had breakfast and then the boys played on the DS and computer until it was time to get dressed. Later Jason took them to Mcdonald's for lunch and then to the movies to see Night at the Museum 2. They really liked the movie. Once they came home, we had tacos for supper. The played outside for awhile before coming in to take their baths and watch TV before going to bed.

Jamie dropped Cameron off at 6:15 and then took Mason on to daycare. Cameron and I took JJ to work at 7:00 and then came home until 8:15 when it was time to leave for school. I picked Cameron up at 3:10, stopped at the store, and then came home for homework and fixing supper. Jamie dropped Mason off at 6:00. We had supper, Jason gave them their bath and they went to bed early, They were tired since they have to get up earlier when they stay with Jamie..

8/26/09

I woke up the boys, dressed them, fed them and took them to daycare and school. I picked Cameron up at 3:15 and we came home to start on his homework. I let him do one assignment and then allowed him to play for a while before Jason took him to Jamie's for the night. I asked Jason to get Jamie to help Cameron with the rest of his homework. She later called complaining that she didn't have any paper and Jason needed to bring her some. She was not happy that she had to help. At 10:00 PM a deputy arrived with a summons for Jason to appear in court next Wednesday for a divorce hearing. Apparently Jamie filed last week on the day of their big fight and they are just now serving him the papers. I don't think it is fair to serve him and only give him a week to find a lawyer and have the lawyer prepare for the hearing. Hopefully he will contact one tomorrow and they can postpone the hearing. Would you believe that the papers state she wants the divorce, she wants permanent alimony, she wants him to pay her attorney's fee, she wants permanent custody of the boys, she wants equitable division of the marital property and child support. She wants alimony even though she make more than Jason does. She wants permanent custody of the boys even though she has not bothered to keep them for 2 months. She wants equal division of marital property but she took everything except his clothes when she moved out and she wants child support. It makes me so mad I could chew nails. All she really wants is the money. If Jason were to offer to give her money every week, I bet she wouldn't be filing right now. She would take the money and allow the boys to stay here.

8/25/09

Today was the usual day of taking everyone where they needed to be and then picking them up. I spend time every day looking for work, straightening up the house, washing clothes, helping with homework, and cooking supper. And I wouldn't change a thing about keeping the boys with us. They seem to be settling down here. They know that they don't have to listen to the fights, that they have home cooked meals everyday and that they are safe. I love the boys very much and only want what is best for them. I hope that one day Jamie will start being the mom she used to be.

I picked Cameron up at 3:15, came home to help with homework until Jason arrived to help and then started supper. Jamie dropped Mason off at 6:05, stayed long enough to kiss Cameron and then left. Jason and the boys played ball outside until time for supper. They ate, played some more until bath time and then went to bed.

8/23/09

It has been a very quite weekend without the boys here. I am so use to them being here that it now seems strange without them. Jason did go to see them for a little while yesterday and today he picked them up early. They went to the house of Jason's friend Mike where they played with his kids and swam in the pool. They came home, Jason gave them their bath, they ate supper and went to bed two tired little boys.

8/21/09

I woke the boys, fed them, dressed them, took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and Cameron to school as usual. Afterwards, I dropped the car off to have the brakes fixed and came home to clean the house. I picked the car up around 1:00 and came back to finish the laundry. Pawpaw came home at 2:00 and took the car for a test run. At 2:15 i received a call from Jamie asking me to pick Cameron up from school as she had some errands to run. She normally picks him up on Friday as she gets off at 2:00 and since it is her weekend to keep the boys it gives me a break. I called Pawpaw and he said he would pick Cameron up for me while he was out. At 2:45 Jason called to say he had called Jamie to make sure she was picking up Cameron and she told him that she had called me. He said he had just got off work and would pick him up. They came home and played for a while before Jason took him to Jamie's apartment.

Jamie dropped Mason off at 6:00, we ate supper, Jason bathed the boys and then played with them until bedtime.

8/19/09

Pawpaw was off today so he took JJ to work while I let the boys sleep a little later than usual. Once Pawpaw came back, we woke up the boys, dressed them, fed them and then took them to the daycare and school. Once we got home, we dressed and went our separate ways, him to check his stores and me to look for work. I met Pawpaw at home at 2:45 and we went to pick Cameron up from school. When we got home, Pawpaw took a nap while I helped Cameron with homework. Jason came home at 4:30, played on the computer with Cameron before taking him over to Jamie's at 6:00 since today is Wednesday and Jason makes her keep them so they can spend time with her during the week. Jamie picked Mason up from daycare and took him home with her.

8/18/09

I woke up the boys, took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and then Cameron to school. I came home got dressed and went out for a while. Jason called wanting to talk. He had a big fight with Jamie concerning the boys and her lack of mothering skills. She doesn't seem to understand that she needs to spend more time with them. Mason ask questions all the time about where she is. He is only 3 and doesn't understand. Cameron on the other hand understands and says he wants to stay with his dad. I think he feels good about the living arrangements and has to be made to spend time with his mother. I don't know what will happen once the pool closes and they are no longer allowed to go swimming. According to Cameron, that is the only thing they get to do while at Jamie's apartment. Since that is the time Jamie likes to lay by the pool, drink and smoke, I wonder who is watching the boys. I picked Cameron up at 3:15, we came home, started on homework and I started supper. Jason came home at 5:00, played with Cameron until Jamie dropped Mason off. They played outside until supper was ready, ate, bathed, watched TV and then went to bed.

8/17/09

I woke the boys at 6:15, got them dressed, fed them breakfast and then we took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and then Cameron and I came home until it was time to take him to school at 8:15. I came back home got dressed and went out for a while before it was time to pick Cameron up at 3:15. We came home, I helped Cameron with some of his homework until Jason came home and then he helped Cameron while I started supper. Pawpaw came home at 5:15 and he and Jason played ball with Cameron in the front yard until Jamie dropped Mason off. She only stays long enough to give both boys a kiss and then she leaves. I'm not sure what she does once she leaves here. You would think she would spend a little more time with her children since Mason was so sick last week. She seems perfectly happy with the arrangement of Jason keeping the boys and her doing whatever she wants. She doesn't have to feed them, she doesn't have to help with homework, she doesn't have to bath them, she doesn't have to wash their clothes, pay for anything and she has all the free time she needs. I know Cameron has mentioned that she has a boyfriend that he says come over a lot when they are with her. Once Jamie left, Jason played with the boys outside until supper was ready. We all ate, Jason gave the boys their baths and they watched TV until time for bed.

8/16/09

Pawpaw took JJ to work while I stayed at home. Once he came home, I started breakfast. Jason and the boys woke up around 8:30. I should say the boys woke up and then woke up their dad. We had breakfast and then Jason got the boys dressed and took them outside to play. Mason is feeling much better, he is not running a fever and the doctor said that if he did not have fevers he could do whatever. After we had lunch, Jason took the boys over to a friend's house so the boys could play with their children. They were there most of the afternoon. They had a cookout, ate hamburgers and hot dogs and were dog tired when they came home. Jason gave them their baths and they were asleep almost before their heads touched their pillows.

8/15/09

I got up and took JJ to work while Jason and the boys slept in. When I came home both boys woke up and we let Jason sleep for a while until breakfast was ready. Pawpaw stopped by to eat with us before going back to work. Mason was feeling a lot better and played all day. He took his 2 medications at 8:00 AM and then again at 8:00 PM. Since he was so sick on Wednesday and Thursday , Jason felt that it would do him good to stay in today, so he and Cameron played and watched TV. We ate supper at 6:30, Jason gave them their baths and they went to bed around 8:30.

8/14/09

Mason had a better night although Jason said he was very restless and talked in his sleep. After taking JJ to work and Cameron to school, Mason and I came home and played all day. He was like a different child. I guess the shot of antibiotics he received at the doctors office on Thursday finally kicked in. He was more talkative and wanted to help with everything I did. At 2:45, we left to pick Cameron up from school. When we were almost to the school, Jamie called to check on Mason and said she had been about to leave to pick Cameron up. I told her since I was almost there that I would go ahead and get him and she could come over to the house to see them later. I also asked her to go ahead and call the doctors office regarding the mono test since I have not heard from them. She later called to say that the doctor was tied up with a patient and that she had not signed off on the results and would call by Monday. She did hint that it was not mono.
Jamie did come by the house and spent all of 15 minutes with the boys. We had supper around 6:30 and then the boys played before taking their baths and going to bed.

8/13/09

According to Jason, Mason had a rough night. He ran a low grade fever all night, was very restless and snored so loud that it kept Jason awake. I had a difficult time waking him up in order to take JJ to work and he fell asleep on the way home from taking Cameron to school. After we got home I made him pancakes and sausage for breakfast. He ate some but was not very hungry and only wanted to lay around all morning. At 11:00 I gave him another dose of the Tylenol and he laid down for a nap. Three hours later I had to wake him up to go pick Cameron up from school. Once we picked Cameron up, I tried to take them to get a snack but both were not hungry so I decided to go on to the doctor's office early for Mason appointment at 4:20. Bad idea. We got there at 3:45 and did not go back until 5:10. Every time the door to the waiting room opened he started to cry saying he didn't want a shot. I tried to tell him he wouldn't get a shot today but after telling him that yesterday and he was poked three times with needles, he didn't believe me. Once in the back, the doctor checked his neck and throat. All the test have not come back yet but the ones that have state that he has a lot of bacterial infection and needs to be on antibiotics and a steroid. She says his tonsils are huge and she is concerned with the swelling of his glands. She will call me tomorrow with the mono test results but is 99 percent sure it is mono. I am to keep him home at least thru Sunday and if he is no longer running a fever he can go back to daycare on Monday.
I dropped off the two prescriptions at the pharmacy and Jason will pick them up on his way home. Thankfully they stay open until 7:00 or else we would have to wait until tomorrow to start him on the treatment. Jamie came by to check on Mason just as we were getting home. She stayed a while but then left to go home. If it were my child that was this sick, I think you would have to pull me away from him but she seems to think she doesn't need to be here for him. He is like all children when they are sick and wants his mother but it seems to help that he has daddy, Meme and Pawpaw here.
Since we were so late getting out of the doctors office, Jason picked up supper at the Mandarin Cafe. After eating, we gave Mason his medicine, he and Cameron took their baths and watched TV before going to bed.

8/12/09

Pawpaw picked Cameron up from school while I stayed at home with Mason. He slept for several hours and I gave him a dose of Motrin when he woke up. He seemed to feel somewhat better but his neck was still swollen and he can't turn his head.Once Cameron came home, he worked on his homework while I made supper. Once we ate, the boys watched Tv before taking thier baths and going to bed.

8/12/09

Pawpaw took JJ to work today while I let the boys sleep a little later than usual. When I woke up Mason he complained that his throat hurt and he felt warm to the touch. But after he got up, his cheeks felt cool and he no longer complained of a sore throat. We decided to let him go on to the daycare and if he started to feel bad they could call. At 10:00, Jason called to say that the daycare had called and Mason was again complaining of a sore throat. We picked him up and took him to see his doctor. When we arrived they took his temperature, which was 100.4 and immediately gave him some Tylenol. It turns out his sore throat was enlarged glands. They swabbed his throat for possible strep and pricked his finger for a mono test. After waiting for almost a hour, the doctor came back and said that both test were negative but she felt that it was still either mono or a infection in the gland. They had to take a blood test from his arm to send to an outside lab and they gave him a shot of antibiotics in his leg. We are to return tomorrow for the lab results and to check on the swollen glands. Needless to say, Mason is not a happy camper with band aids on his finger, arm and leg. We stopped at McDonalds for the chicken nuggets I promised him, he ate and then laid down to watch his WALL-E movie. He was asleep and snoring within minutes.

8/10/09

I woke the boys, dressed them, fed them and we took JJ to work, Mason to daycare and then Cameron to School. I spent the rest of the day straightening the house, going job hunting and then I picked Cameron up from school at 3:15. While Cameron worked on his homework, I started supper and when Jamie brought Mason home at 6:00 , we ate, Jason gave them their baths and they watched TV until time for bed.

8/7/09

I woke the boys up at 6:30, helped them dress and fed them breakfast before leaving to take JJ to work at 7:15. After dropping JJ off, Cameron and I dropped Mason off at daycare and came back home until 8:15 and then I took him to school. I spent the rest of the morning trying to get Cameron's RX filled. The doctor's office had lost the RX and when I finally was able to take it to the pharmacy there was a problem with the insurance. I don't mind helping Jason with the boys but feel that since Jamie is their mother it is her responsibility to make sure that these things are taken care of. She seems willing to let others take care of her children and only sees them when she is made to by Jason. I wonder what will happen when they finally go in front of a judge for the divorce. Will she then want them in order to get the child support knowing that if Jason gets to keep them she will probably have to give him support?
I called Jason to make sure that since it is Jamie's weekend (she has them every Wednesday night and every other weekend) to keep the boys that she would be picking Cameron up from school. He called back stating that Jamie would pick up Cameron and then pick up Mason from daycare. I wish I did not always have to check to see if she was going to pick them up. I would then be able to plan my time better.

8/6/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off at 6:30. He and I took JJ to work , then came home to get his school supplies in order. We left the house at 8:15 in order to get him to school by 8:30. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:15. We came home, I fixed him a snack (mac and cheese) and let him play on the computer until Jamie brought Mason home a 6:00. Since today was the first day of school, he did not have homework other than he has to bring in a framed picture of himself. After Jamie dropped Mason off, we ate supper, Jason gave the boys a bath and they were in bed by 7:30. They were very tired as they have to get up very early (5:30) when they stay with Jamie. She doesn't have to be at work until 7:45 but always drops them off early. Here they can sleep until 6:30.

8/5/09

I took JJ and the boys to work and daycare as usual and Jamie picked the boys up and took them home with her as she keeps them on Wednesday nights. Jamie will drop Cameron off here in the morning so I can take him for his first day of school. She took Mason to daycare. While Pawpaw and I were out today we picked up a twin mattress set for Jason. The boys have been sleeping on the bunk beds and Jason has been sleeping on a blow up mattress on the floor.

I recieved a comment stating that I have won the great giveaway from Suzanne at suzannebalvanz.blogspot.com. Thanks Suzanne. The boys will love the game (Apples to Apples).

8/2/09

The day started as a normal Sunday with Pawpaw taking JJ to work while I stayed at home with Jason and the boys. When Pawpaw left to pick JJ up at 9:00, I started breakfast. After breakfast we cleaned the house, worked in the yard and played with the boys. It was a good day.

8/1/09

I took JJ to work while Jason and the boys slept in. Once I came home I started breakfast. Today we had french toast, bacon (turkey) and scrambled eggs. After Pawpaw came home from work, we went to buy groceries. Boy does it cost a lot to buy groceries. By the time we left the store my purse was lighter by almost $300.00. Maybe the everyday thing (I usually spent an average of about 25.00)was better after all. We'll see how long these last before I have to go back. While we were out, Jason took the boys to see the new movie G-Force. He later said it was a cute movie for kids but he would not recommend it for adults.

At 6:00 we all met my sister Kim and her family at a local restaurant (Johnny Carino's) for a birthday party for my nephew Brandon. Pawpaw and I have only been to this restaurant once and that was a long time ago. I was not very impressed with the service, food or the restaurant itself. We had 20 people in our party and only had one server. It took forever to order, most of the food was cold when we finally received it and we had water dripping on us from the air vents in the ceiling. Lets just say, we won't be going back.
After leaving the restaurant, we all went back to Kim's house for cake and ice cream. She had purchased the cake (see picture below) from a local bakery(Columbus Corner Bakery). They did a great job and put everything Brandon likes on the cake. The boys had a good time playing with Kim's grandchildren and were happy that they were allowed to stay up late. We left Kim's around 10:00 and put the boys to bed as soon as we got home. They we tired and went straight to sleep.
