This is my daily diary of my grandsons life after their parents breakup. I know everyone says you can't love anyone more than your own children but this isn't true. It's just a different kind of love.

9/3/09

Jamie dropped Cameron off around 6:15 and then she took Mason on to daycare. Jason took the morning off to go to court regarding custody of the boys. I took JJ to work and then came home to get ready to go to court with Jason. Jason and Cameron stopped by McDonald's to get something to eat before Jason took him to school. Cameron said that he had not eaten and was hungry. Jason and I met with his lawyer at 8:45 and then went to the court house. After spending most of the morning waiting for Jason's case to be called, we were told it would be 3:00PM before the case would be called. Once I told them that I had to pick Cameron up from school at 3:10, the lawyers got together and decided to postpone the case. Mr. Hirsch said this was good and that the longer we had the boys with us the better it would be in court. After leaving the courthouse, Jason went to work and I went to the store for groceries.
I picked Cameron at 3:10 and we came home. Jason came home around 4:30 and he and Cameron played football in the front yard until Jamie called at 5:30 wanting Jason to come to the daycare to look at some pictures that were taken of Mason. After looking at the pictures, Jason came home. He asked if Mason wanted to go with his mother or if he wanted to come home with him. Mason wanted to come home with Jason. Jamie did not bother to come by to see Cameron and as far as I know she did not call to check on them before bedtime. Jason did go over to Jamie's apartment later to get the boys cold medicine as she did not bring them back.
We had supper at 6:30, Jason gave the boys a bath and allowed them to watch TV for a while before bed.
Note: Jason noticed that Mason's hair was very oily when he picked him up from the daycare. He mentioned it to Jamie and she said that the boys were tired last night and she had not bothered to give them a bath. I guess we'll need to start picking Mason up from daycare on Wednesday, feeding them and bathing them again before Jason takes them to Jamie's.
