This is my daily diary of my grandsons life after their parents breakup. I know everyone says you can't love anyone more than your own children but this isn't true. It's just a different kind of love.

9/8/09

Jason called around lunch time to let me know that he had spoken to Mr. Hirsch. I was right in that things are to stay the same as they were when we went to court last week. Jamie and her lawyer both agreed that the boys would stay with us during the week and Jamie would get them every other weekend and every Wednesday night. I picked Cameron up from school at 3:15. When Jason came home from work, he picked Mason up from the daycare and then took the boys to Walmart. Once everybody was home, we had supper. While we were eating Jamie came over and Jason took her outside to talk about keeping the old arrangements until the next court date. Jamie was not very happy about it. She says she doesn't get enough time with the boys but even under her plan she would only see them a few minutes before bedtime and a few minutes in the morning before dropping them off here. Jamie left to go get Cameron's medicine and Jason put the boys in the bathtub. Afterwards they watched TV before going to bed.
Note: Jason called the school again today to request a meeting with his teacher. I don't know why she is not returning his calls but if he doesn't hear from her soon, he will have to take it to the principal. Cameron did not have homework assignments given again this week. I spoke with the grandmother of one of Cameron's classmates and she said that she had been told that the assignments were being sent by email. We were not notified of any changes. How can they send out emails when they have not requested the email address or if you don't have a email address?
